Creative Survival • Luke 16

"I want you to be smart in the same way —
but for what is right — using every adversity
to stimulate you to creative survival,
to concentrate your attention on the bare essentials,
so you'll live, really live,
and not complacently just get by on good behavior."

Luke 16:9

Problems and trials will come.
You have told us this is so.
So we are not surprised when they come.

These challenges shouldn't stop us in our tracks,
we need not be immobilized by indecision or fear.

You love creativity.
You are creative!
You made us in Your image.

You want us to get out there in Your mighty power
and creatively live!

With You, we can move mountains!
With You, we can find a way through the water,
crossing on dry land.

Stir me up, Lord!
Energize me to move,
ignite me with Your creative fire.

Help me to see beyond
what is good, ok, safe.

I want to soar with You,
painting the world around me
in bold strokes full of the color of Your glory.
