Sensitive Knowlege

"...knowing isn't everything.
If it becomes everything, some people
end up as know-it-alls who treat others
as know nothings.
Real knowledge isn't that insensitive."

1 Corinthians 8:7 msg

He gave up His rights —
everything is His,
power, majesty, glory and honor.

And yet,

for me,

He set it aside.

He knows all —
yet patiently leads and
teaches me in my ignorance.
He bends down,
reaches out,
lifts up.

Growing in knowledge and freedom —
but also in love and patience.

Nurture.

Model.

Guide.

Fan into flame.

Draw alongside.

"We sometimes tend to think we know all
we need to know to answer
these kinds of questions —
but sometimes our humble hearts can
help us more than our proud minds.
We never really know enough until we
recognize that God alone knows it all."

1 Corinthians 8:1-3 msg

"But God does care when you use your freedom
carelessly in a way that leads a
Christian still vulnerable to those old associations
to be thrown off track."

1 Corinthians 8:9 msg

"If I speak God's Word with power,
revealing all His mysteries and
making everything plain as day,
and if I have faith that says to a mountain,
"Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love,
I'm nothing.
